First Shoot of the year.... my car was a financial write off So a new (to me) car and I was off to that Kent Location....
No running shots for me (maybe next time) but quite liked the king of the castle approach here...
On a by-note, got out to my feeders eventually to find that they had been stolen/removed...
All the best
Phil

What with the car and the feeders you don't seem to be having much luck at present, Phil. Hopefully this fine shot will go some way to making up for it.

Hi Phil,
Glad you are mobile again and I look forward to catching up. Glad you had a nice time down in my neck of the woods and I hope that I can get out to your fairly soon. Nice, almost inquisitive, shot of this sanderling..

This one is really “stepping out”, an excellent shot, exceptionally well taken. Plus, there is no “mush” for me to have a go about.
Sorry about your feeders, I hope any hides survived. I’ve lost the lot several times, and that is when behind 2.5 metre fencing, with security patrols.

Good to hear you are out and about again, Phil. Bad luck with the car and feeders though. If it is any consolation, I know exactly how you feel! Like this shot a lot. It is the intense colour of the sand. Had not photo'd these before Donna Nook and was amazed at how fast they move! Pin sharp and great comp.

Love the rich colours in the b/g. They, and the dof, really accentuate the detail in the bird.
Sorry you had all that expense with the car, and losing the feeders too.
As Ian says, life can only get better.
Take care,
Fran
