Common Snipe Feeding
Managed a couple of good sessions with my local snipe,as many as twenty at a go during the past cold snap, standard portraits, feeding etc.
A difficult bird to frame as they are constantly on the move, pausing only briefly resulting in many unsharp images.

Nikon D3,500F4AFS/11,TC14E,ISO640,/1/250th F5.6,Gitzo,WWS hide.

Cheers

I think the light was a bit hard, or you just put too much contrast in the picture.
I would have liked it more when it had more subtile colors/contrast.
But anyway, having so clear shots of snipes is superb! Nice low angle too! :toast: :toast:

Not an easy bird to photograph, but you managed to do well. Nice behavioural shot.

Good behavioural shot but as mentioned contrast and saturation perhaps need to be lowered for the image to shine...

Hello Craig

Nice light but it just doesn't work for me and you set a high standard which has dropped for this one sorry.

Looks over saturated/contrast on my monitor, good to get one out in the open. Nice shot.
