Firstly, apologies for not being too active on the forum of late - I'm a miserable git am I not
I quite like this image myself because it's a view I see very infrequently, and the green staining under the tail for me, is the icing on the cake.
If the male is feeding at my station and 'the little lady' comes down to feed he knocks her off the feeder she's landed on and makes her sit on this perch until he's finished - proper neanderthal he is
Perhaps that's why I identify with him so very well

Really beautiful image Andy. I especially like the pattern of background hues they complement the bird perfectly.

One of the best woody shots I've seen.
Love the way all the colours work together.
Great stuff.

Yes, an infrequently captured pose as you say. Lovely image Andy and very envious as my Woody is the most skittish in the world I'd say. A slight twitch of the net curtain which is 25ft away will scare him off. ANY SLIGHT movement and it's gone..... Trust me to have one with severe psychological issues!!!
Very nicely composed too
Who am i trying to kid! its a super image. Nice one Andy.

Great woody shot and they do look great when they perch like this,.
For me though a bit lighter and more varied background would be more natural.
