I had never seen one of these before,so when I was staying with a friend in Kent just after Christmas, and we heard about it,we decided t try and find it. It had taken up residence along a canal bank, and after a short wait it appeared and flew in to a tree on the far bank, but soon decided to try and catch its self some supper, and flew to the rocks that you can see,and started to fish. This gave us some good opportunities for photography............

A cracking image stewart. Nice sharp details & the rocky surroudings look good. Was there full reflection before cropping?

Great shot, nice and sharp. Pity there is no more reflection of the bird itself.
But good image anyway.

Apart from shooting as a vertical, I thimk this is an excellent shot.
