Yellow Hammer
Taken whilst on a short photographic holiday with natures-images.co.uk which are led by Mark Sissons & Danny Green which I found extremely enjoyable.

Hi Phil
Nice Hammer itself , but I personally feel the lichen clad twigs a little over the top, and not really suited to the bird. (Although I know they will use them) They seem to dominate the image a little.
Perhaps a tad more picture on the left might balance a bit better too.
Cheers
John

Nice image Phil - envious too as I got none!!

They certainly liked that hedge didn't they?

Glad you enjoyed yourself, and speak next week.

Mark

really quite like this, you really get the sense of a hedge while at the same time it's not too cluttered

The OOF foreground is unfortunate, to my eye, the lighting just doesn't look quite right, its too good to have such little shadow in the shot. Otherwise, an excellent shot.
