Here is a preversion of a 3 shot pano w/ a tilt shift lens.
I forgot if I was tilting or shifting?
Anyhow it's been sized pretty small just so I could process it quickly to see if it's worth spending time on.
Any thoughts on this one? Maybe some cropping suggestions?
You usually get a square comp out 2 shots like I was taught but I managed to squeeze 3 out of to get the famous 4x5 ratio.
Very impressive capture, Steve. A side from the technical work mentioned, that all looks fine to me at least, the scene itself is very noteworthy. If you zig-zag back & forth between the rock and mountain formations it makes our eyes keep looking deeper into the image to the very distant peak in the view here. Not listed was the location of the photo?

Thanks Paul. That's because I wasn't so sure about the spelling Augeberry Point in Death Valley. I was there last weekend. Only one patch of ice up there in the narrowest part of the canyon on a curve too.

Very nice composition and color Steve,
It looks I am wearing a pair of 3D glasses when I look it. Pretty cool. So which TS lens did you use? And did you stitch in PS?
Cool perspective and detail. I think it is worth fine-tuning.

Thanks guys, Derek, it was the 24mm T/S and just photomerge in PS3.
Pretty nice views from up there. Not much walking to do either. I had enough time to still make it to the car and grab some flashlights for some light painting.

Steve,
I think this is awesome. The perspective and depth are great and the sense of scale is quite perplexing to me. I can't tell if the foreground rocks are 5ft tall, or 500ft! The lighting on the rock is beautiful, and again, the depth here is excellent.
Not quite sure what you mean by a preversion? Did you mean perversion?
This is a fabulous image.

I really like the rock formation and light. I also like how the outcrop opens up, allowing you to see the bg.
