Hi Mark
I use livefoods direct. I find the most economic way is to use the 500gs every week for six weeks and usually set it up for Thursday or Friday delivery so I have them for the weekend. They have always been very helpfull and reliable mealworms are delivered in a cloth bag closed with a wireloop which will require snips to cut and cushioned in scrunched up newspaper.
Hope this helps

Live mealworms through the post are a nightmare from my limited experience - I've had one successful delivery and one total b*lls up where the tubs parted company to with their lids and I got a delivery of mainly bran flakes only - so potentially can be an expensive waste of money. The supplying firm was one of the top two suppliers of bird food in the UK

I now use my local fishing tackle shop as mealworms are now usually stocked as bait species

I get mine from a local pet zone store but I get the "minis" ( Different species)These seem to last ages and are not so obtrusive in the pictures. They go better in the catapult too !!
