I was surfing Fred Miranda's landscape forum this afternoon when I came upon an interesting thread on image sharpening for the web. The poster has experimented with sharpening techniques based on Marc Adamus' technique and has come up with an action that has been gaining pretty good acceptance with the community over there. I downloaded it, and must admit, it has its merits so I thought I would share here. You can find the thread HERE.

Thanks, Guy!
The advantage of Marc's method is that it's fast and works for 90% of your photos. Ive been using it a couple years now, and for the 720 pixel size i use a presharpened size of between 1000-1300 pixles depending on the detail in the shot (more detail requires a larger initial size). This linked method is just a little more involved, but same basic idea.

Erik, I'm sure you are aware that Lightroom provides various levels of output sharpening for JPEGs. I'm wondering how this method compares and if it is worth the additional effort.
Has anyone done such a comparison ?
