Shy Redpoll
A first, three redpoll have been visiting the feeders for about a month now, but they seem pretty camera shy. This is the female, i have anice shot of the male too but the BG is rather busy. Taken today, in the couple of hours of sun between the rain clouds.

I like the picture including the branch the bird is sitting on..
The only disturbing thing is the tree on the right.
I think it takes to much attention away from the bird.
May be some cloning or cropping.

Agree with Tom re: the tree on rhs. That said Paul, the detail in the redpoll is superb, and the twinkle in the eye!

I dont tend to clone much. I prefer leaving the image as it was shot. But here is my cloned version if you prefer?

Hello

Cloned version looks much better to me.

Nice to have Redpoll's at the feeders. Are these garden feeders or somewhere you've set them up?

Regards

These are feeders setup at my local reserve by a small group of wildlife watchers and me.

The second shot has it. So its either cloning, or a slight change in shooting position, if possible.

An excellent capture.
