Starling
Didn't go far today as it was supposed to rain. So here's another from the garden.

I hope that ivy leaf isn't too much of a distraction.

40D, EF300mm f/4L IS USM +1.4x, f9,1/60Sec @ ISO 500, tripod, through glass, cropped and sharpened.

Have a good weekend folks,

Fran

Lovely shot Fran
Like most Starling shots the area around the eye is always dark !
Minor point. Thats the way they are. I often lighten mine up,a bit though !
Good Stuff

I agree with John. It's a fine shot of a handsome subject. It looks like you have the detail there in the eye, so I reckon even a very slight brightening in that area would make the shot even better.

Considering it's through glass, this is a lovely shot. I agree with the boys about the eye area - always a problem and probably made worse by web compression. Worth tinkering with.

Very smart looking bird. Nice shot :toast: Ivy leaf ok for me, but you could pull the green down a little if you thought it was distracting?

Hello Fran.

A cracking shot of a stunning bird when caught right, and you've caught this nicely.

Only nit covered.
