Hi all
Went out today to photograph a lone short-eared owl that's been hanging around my barn owl patch for a few months. As you can see I had little success as he prooved far too alusive. The good news though is that there is now two of them - they had a brief mid-air set-to and then seperated, one of them giving a single 'wing-clap' on its departure. Does this sound like a possible breeding pair, or is it more likely to be rival males?
This chap flew by while the SEOs taunted me from a distance - God bless the Barn Owl!

A lovely image Simon, wing position and the slight head turn are very nice, very well captured too.

Hi Simon,
Lovely shot of this Female (spots on the flanks under her wing) with a nice pose well placed in the frame and I like the OoF habitat.
