My redpolls flatly refuse to land on anything appropriate, but the goldfinches are pretty reliable. Following on from a previous post I have been trying to get these shots at a smaller aperture and I feel it has helped to bring a bit more of the subject into focus as well as sharpening up results from my lens. As ever it is a battle against the light and the background. A tad hot in front of the leg, but I like the winter evening light feel to it myself.
C&C welcome as ever.

I like the low light on it as well, Eric. It helps make that ring around the eye stand out.
