Digging through some files from my Thanksgiving whistle stop trip through the SW, thought I'd try stiching 2 shots. Only 2 programs I have for stiching are 1) Canon's generic Photostitch bundled software, 2) PSE 7. Canon's software did not work well, you could see the matchline clearly, and the brightness was off. PSE 7 I thought did a pretty good job though, at least from what I can tell using my unexperienced stiching knowledge.
This of course is Turret Arch at sunrise.

Nick,
Looks like a good stitch, but hard to say given the small size. I have the same quality software myself so I can empathize with the difficulties.
I like how the soft light gives depth to the image and the location of the arch in your composition. It is easy to tell the main subject. You have more clouds in the sky than what I have been getting lately when I travel (bad luck on my part I guess), but there is not enough to give the total image that unique feeling.
Good job!

Thanks Steve, unfortunately I was restriced to the 720 size here, but when I post it in ESS I'll include a larger version too. Hey, you are the weather man, you should be able to create some clouds wherever you travel

Don't I wish. That kind of skill requires a bigger guy than me... Maybe Stan can do this. He is a big (tall) person in the weather community...

Nick, I think it's beautiful! The stitch looks good to me. Looks even and I can find the seams. Very nice.
I have Panorama Factory and have been happy with it.
Many of us use Autopano. I shoot very haphazardly with my Canon. This picture was taken from the tower in Stephensdom Vienna, Austria and is 6 program mode images I took while hanging out of a window. Autopano blended it seamlessly and I have been able to print this 24x???.

I think this is beautiful. The light is really great. The exposure is dead on, and the colors and comp work very well.

Thanks Jen and Rich for the software recommendations, Rich that's a pretty amazing stich!!.
Thanks Morris too for the comment!.

I don't do panos all that often but when I do, I use Autopano Pro. It's really easy to use and does a beautiful job.
Your image looks good to me. I don't see any evidence of the merge. Nice light, cool clouds and a somewhat different view of Turret Arch given the wider view to the left of the arch. Nice work!

I don't see any evidence of a stitch. Nice shot; I like the light on the arch–sort of spotlights it. Good exposure and composition too.

Sweet image Nick. Great composition and light.
I've been really amazed by the auto stitching capability of CS4.
It's been years since I have found the need for anything else.
But of course, there are a lot of cheaper options for just stitching.

I especially like how the Turret Arch monolith is lit while the rest of the landscape surrounding it is in shade. Add in the lit background and you have some great dimension here.
Stitching looks good to me.
I used to use Panorama Factory, but the pano. stitching in CS4 is comparable to PF now.

Paul, this was taken over Thanksgiving, perhaps 2 days prior to. It was a great time to visit Arches, there was barely a soul to be seen!.
