driftwood
Not much going on around this house, not been out, camera came back last week cleaned and fixed, so no excuses for not going out. Tried some light painting the other starry night at the old cabin i am fond of, but they got a 50' boat tied up next to it. Have to go out to Jerrys farm and keep in touch with the elderly man that still gets around pretty good with a pulled groin muscle at 93. Maybe try the light thing on the Levin homestead. Just rambling, hi everyone. Driftwood for feeling drifty. :)

Love the texture - almost looks metallic! I wouldn't have guessed driftwood if you didn't mention it.

This is really cool - detail like the flow and eddy of a stream...

Cliff: Wow, you captured the shimmery sheen of the weathered wood. Very sensual, aqueous feel to this. A keeper IMO.

Cliff,
I like the fact you didn't over process this. Too Much contrast etc would have ruined this images. I really like its feel.

Shimmery and interesting abstract. The cracks in the wood in contrast to the light areas, along with the glow of the light on the contours makes for a lot to see. Pretty cool, Cliff.

Kind of reminds me of what Art Wolf keeps trying to do on his show, except you actually did it so it's interesting and artistic... Nice Image!

I'm sure we've all seen old driftwood and tried to get a good shot out of it. I know I have and I have over 100 shots. I just don't think it's an interesting enough subject to spend any more time trying to capture. That said, this is as good as any I've seen.

Everytime I look at it, I swear I'm looking at a topo map! That's a cool abstract..
