Barn Owl
One from this morning. Was going to try for the Snow Buntings on Ainsdale beach but thought id just have a drive past a couple of fields i know Barn Owls hunt near to Martin Mere. The field had a couple of horses in and acted as a great hide when they came to see if i had any food for them!!

Nikon D2xs
Sigma 500mm
tripod/Sidekick
Horse Hide
ISO 400
1/500th @ F4.5
Spot Meter
PP in Bibble Pro and CS3

Thanks

Andy

A classic shot, I I would crop off some from the base of the image in order to increase the emphasis on the image. Excellent, well seen and executed.

HI Andy, a really nice image and I like it a lot.. I scrolled down to remove that little bit of OOF vegetation at the bottom of the image and think it helps with the comp.

However, I think this is a great NH image and shows the bird exactly as I've seen them and would love to photograph them.. so very envious.

Nice one..

Cracking shot Andy - really like the symmetry of the wings and legs :toast: I think I too might crop some of the oof at the bottom .. but a fine shot whichever way you look at it.

A lovely image Andy. The crop looks fine to me as it is. I wouldn't change a thing.

Superb! I'm sure I can see the vole quivering. Were they Trojan horses then?
