Kestrel-Falco tinnunculus
Went out again today to try and get some shots of the Bittern i posted yesterday. He only showed up once but stayed quite hidden. So i moved on and went to look for other species and found this willing Kestrel of whom i was able to shoot a lovely series.

Greetings,

Jeroen Stel

Fantastic flight shot with great details. Well taken.
Was the Kestrel hovering when you took the shot?

Nice overall image and composition - nice flight pose and all the detail in the wings can be seen nicely. I feel that the bottom of the image is a little too white and maybe needs a slight correction.

Thanks for your comments so far!
To Lee: Yes the bird was hovering besides my car at a 45 degree angle.
To Ian: I can still see some very light coloured blue at the bottom of the image so i do not think that a correction is needed but as allways different screens tell different stories..

Greetings,

An excellent capture, I scene we all to often see in our daily lives but. all too rarely stop, if legally allowed, to appreciate.

A superb shot, well seen and excecuted.

Very nice Jeroen - funny how all the best shots of this behaviour I've seen are when people have been out to photograph something else!!

Pays to be flexible!

Not what you set out to do, but a superb picture, which you must have been delighted with.
