Perigee Moon
This is a shot from the 'perigee' moon we had earlier this year. I was out on one of my favorite roads around Manhattan, Old K18, and was able to get several shots of the moon rise in different settings:

This is a combination of 2 shots, one for the landscape and one for the moon.

Canon 40D, 24-105L lens@35mm, ISO 640. Base exposure was f8. 1/13th, the moon at f8 and 1/60.

The colors and composition really speak to me. I enjoyed the others from that series on your website too.

Scott, I always like these moonlit wide open landscape shots. I've been trying to find some places to get some of my own but the cell phone towers always seem to be in the way. Good job!

Nice series of images Scott. I couldn't settle on a spot around my area to shoot from and ended up doing nothing. I should have headed out west and found a spot near you! And I know exactly where most of these shots were made. K-18 has some nice vantage points for sure. Thanks for sharing!
