Little Grebe + repost

One from earlier this year, Little Grebe with a Caddis larvae lunch, photographed in very low light hence a 1/30th and the high ISO, thanks for looking.

Usual bits and pieces.
1/30th @ F5.6 iso640

Lovely shot! I wish you would point some of these in the direction of my pond! It's perhaps just a little tight in the frame but I'd be delighted to have a shot of one.

Thanks for the comment Ian, I've given the repost a touch more room at the top which I think helps the comp.

If your ever down in the Yorkshire area drop me an e-mail and I'll take you to photograph the Grebes.

Best regards

Great shot of a great species ! I love watching these and could do it all day. My favourite "bum to front with head turned" pose too !! Good pose for stacking images too if you can get enough.
Cheers

The repost is much better (looks slightly sharper to me aswell). Wish it was mine!

A superb shot, repost is the better just right size wise for web posting.

Hi Andy

Very nice - love the deep rich colours!

I think I would have liked to see the whole of the head reflected, but a very minor nit - I wouldn't be sorry to have taken it!

Thanks for the comments guys, always appreciated :toast:

Hi David, if the reflection had been a little clearer I would have included it, but it's a bit ropey so I decided to leave it out

Best regards

My vote is for the second one as well. Nice image of a shy bird!
