Hi all,

Sorry I haven't been around for so long!! Christmas and New years was rather hectic, not least with the arrival of a stray kitten, who now firmly has her paws under our table.

Managed to get out and about a few weeks ago to get this shot of a seal pup. He/she seemed to be losing his/her fuzz, which is a very itchy business apparently!

Nikon D200, 500mm lens.
1/250 sec @ f8. ISO 200. Tripod on the ground.

C&C Welcome, hope you are all well!!

Nice seal shot Dawn
Others will not agree but I'd prefer it with a bit more "guts" Give it a bit of contrast or drop the gamma a little
Still nice though.

Lovely shot. He/she seems so relaxed and nothing itchy about it.

Thanks all for your comments! I had another play in PS to boost the contrast etc, and it looks much better. Funny how you don't see these things when they're staring you in the face!!

A very endearing image... personally I don't mind the lower contrast as it gives nice pastel tones to the image.....

I'd be tempted to cropp in a wee bit as the OOF sand doesn't add much interest and isn't required to set the scene.
