I have been working on Barn Owls lately but as of yet I haven't had much luck so I have also been working on this lovely bird which I think is one of the most beautiful ducks we have in the UK.

OOH - that's nice! Can you catch it and bring it to my pond? Come to think of it, you've done it already haven't you?!
Seriously, this is stunningly good. I am envious.

Superb! Excellent composition, pose and background, lovely warm feel too. That little shimmer of water around the bird makes it!

Totally agree with above comments, perhaps I would try Phil's suggestion of flipping the image to see if it suits.

Superb work, Danny. I often find the green on the head does not come out well with these, but you have the tones to perfection here. The only point I will disagree on is the most beautiful duck in the UK - wigeon get my vote every time, but I am sure we can disagree on that.

Hello Danny.
Lovely image.
The colours in this from the water to the bird and then the background, all balance out very nicely. And with that nice soft light on the bird finish it of nicely.

Excellent shot The warmth of the colour palette and the bg really make it.

As an aside, I think I would at least look at flipping it.
This is really superb.

Brilliant shot. I like the pose, all too often you see this fabulous little duck sitting on the water in the same pose. Lovely diffuse background too.
Good work.
