Here are the details of the Refuge shoot I have organized with Wilderness Southeast. This will be 8 hours of photography in the Savannah River Swamp within the Refuge on April 18. This will be aboard a 20 person skiff. We will make frequent stops, either by request or at the behest of the professional guide. There will be some exploration afoot, depending on the river level at the time. The habitat will be everything from blackwater tupelo/cypress swamp to abandoned rice fields. There should be wildlife and scenery aplenty.

So far, I have 8 spots filled. I need a maximum 8 more to keep expenses per individual down. My deadline for accepting participants is flexible, but the sooner the better, as I am obliged for a $400 downpayment on 2/15/09. I am asking for $25 and an email commitment, by then if possible.

I talked with Wilderness SE this afternoon and asked them to extend the deadline until February 28. They were agreeable.

I'm looking forward to getting out there too. It will be my first trip of this kind. I'm excited!
