Back to Nature
This area in Wales once once part of a thriving slate mining industry. Now abandoned it is in part slowly returning back to nature.

Hi Paul
I love slate fences. Once did a course at Plas tan y Buylch ??? had to do a presentation on boundaries in Wales. Slate fences were my choice !
I remember this scene well. Excellent !!

Paul,

Absolutely love this pic, it paints such a vivid picture of the barren land, yet it hints at a history much different. If only the trees could talk, what stories could they tell?

Thanks for sharing it with us.

Excellent composition and the story it tells. I've spent time in and around Bangor and recall the slate fencings well - no images as nice as this to remember it by though :toast:

Hey Paul,

That's a great shot you've captured. I get the sense of wind and sun. I love the lead in and the way the slant of the hills in the background aren't at the same angle. Wales is a beautiful country.

That's some scenery mate!
Looks wonderful and i guess this could be a very stong image as a black and white too.
Well done!
