Brrrrrrrrr!!!
I don't know if it's a trend or not, but these Bluebirds have been coming to my sister's heated bird bath for the last few years in February in Kalamazoo, MI. This year, it's been for the last week or so and only 2 today, while in years past there have been as many as 7. These little guys are very skittish so it was all I could do to get a few quick shots through a window . Needless to say, they don't look a bit happy with the cold and snow! Cropped about 15-20%.

Nice shot . Not what I think of when I think bluebird days.Looks like they are glad to get a drink. I shot a robin in between eagles on Sat. Well Spring is on the way I'm sure.

Great catch. We don't see any Bluebirds around here in the winter although I have been seeing Robins this winter.

Tough birds! We won't be seeing these guys for months!

Ken...I won't be seeing them here any time soon either, so this was a real treat!

Good grab, Toni. I don't think I've ever seen a bluebird in the winter, but the birdbath being heated certainly explains a lot.

If your sister adds an aerator, the bluebirds could have a jacuzzi. At this point, I might join them.

I'd be right there with them too if it was a jacuzzi, Chuck! :jump:

You're right, they don't look very jovial. I have to imagine that life is quite tough for a lot of animals this time of year. I'm sure a bit of warm water makes it easier though!
