What I did last summer...
First, my apologies for not being active here over the past several months but I have found with child #2 (as I did with child #1) that the addition of a baby at our house limits my photo outings for a little bit. It also means I have to type really quitely at night (like now).

Actually my first apology should be for the non-nature photo. I've been much more of a 'strobist' for the last while so hopefully the moderators will let one very small photo slide.

I've seen some of the recent comments on low critique/view ratios and such, as well as folks leaving the forum. Since I've been part of 'that crowd' for a bit, I don't know that I have much right to comment but figured I would anyway...

I think people come to a forum like this for several reasons. I agree the critiques have made my photography vastly better, but I also enjoyed the group outings quite a lot. It made me think about what other things a group like this might be capable of pulling off. So I brainstormed some stuff at lunch and will just toss the list in a seperate thread for folks to pick on, and see if anything sticks.

Looking forward to getting active here again in the next few weeks.

Wow...you will never forget the magic and beauty of your sleeping infant. Congrats to you and yours. No need to apologize, for your days are busy and never more memorable...enjoy...and linger, savor them. Ken S

Hey Brett, being a recent grandpa for the first time I can totally understand.Love this B&W photo, beautiful baby - those moments won't last forever so capture them while you can. Already this forum is giving me some great ideas. Thanks

I wish I had been more into photography when my girls were that age. The finest of nature on display!
