Looking for images I may have never processed or looked over the first time.. Lately I've been longing for spring, and wanting some new material in my portfolio. I just finished a lengthy project at work, and hope to have more time to participate.
Here is a flower from last year that I worked tonight. I've been using Lightroom here of late and really enjoying it.

Ned - the colors and "just right" depth of field really make this one for me. Very nice! It makes me want to get to Swan Island Dahlias right away...
I could wish for a bit more on the right, but it is no deal breaker for me.

Man that's nice. I love the contrast range, the darker center opening up into the lighter areas. The comp and focus work well for me, and, as noted, that's a beautiful color. It looks like the green and blue channels might be near plugging in those deepest red areas (with a resulting slight loss of detail), but that's my only nit.

Great one! This inspires me to pull out the 100mm macro from my closet! While I think this is great and it's beautifully framed.. I can't help but wonder what a square crop would look like...
