Dunes and Crestones

From a recent trip down to Sand Dunes. I was hoping for snow on the dunes but was happy with snow on the peaks. Unfortunately no clouds either.

All these great photos that have been posted recently from the Dunes really makes me want to visit again. I like the composition of this one a lot, Steve. The light doesn't seem optimal but you did well with what you were given.

Ditto Bret's comment on the light. Working with what you've got, I'd consider cropping some off the sides and top. You could afford to lose some blue sky. And I'd try cropping that rounded peak on the far right so that the Crestones are clearly the highest points on the skyline.

Love the snow on the peaks, but it looks like the wind hadn't been blowing much before/during your visit as the dunes look a little ratty. I seem to have the same problem nearly every time I visit! I agree with Jackson in that you can afford to lose a bit of the sky, making it a bit more panoramic in format.
