SEO
I'd seen this one before and went back a couple of days later in the hope of getting a cracker. As I drew near to the site there he was, poked the camera out of the window and fired away regardless of settings. Well you have to make sure of at least one shot.

1D3 500mm+1.4tc ISO800 1/1600 @f5.6

This is about 25% of the original.

Returned yesterday to get some more shots. So did a dozen wildfowler disguised as Hamas and if that weren't bad enough a half dozen folks taking there dogs for a s***!

Back again today. There's the SEO and a party of guns shooting game on the nearby fields. Spooked the bird and that's been my day.

So before you go knocking this image just think how hacked off I feel!

Today I'm thinking "If there were just you and me on the planet it would still be over crowded"

Enjoy your photography

Hi Paul
You did the best you could in the circs. I know how you feel believe me, but I have managed national nature reserves for nearly 40 years and after a while you begin to realise something.
Everyone doesn't appreciate our pursuits and we don't appreciate theirs.
All those grockles out there are not birders , watchers or photographers. I have a dog and like us - they have to crap !
Cheers

Minimalist is the word which comes to mind when I first saw this. I think you could crop this too advantage and still retain the “feel” of the Shortie in its environment.

Put the time in, and it WILL all come together for you. Luck is proportional to the time put in.
