Long Shadows
I took advantage of a sunny afternoon a couple of weeks ago to shoot the shadows playing across my yard. A sunny day has been a rare treat here this winter. Meanwhile, we received another 6 inches of snow today.

D300, Sigma 180, 1/15 sec @ f/25

i like that chuck if you stare at it, it looks like small drifts

Yes you have been having winter. I think this is another shot that loses a lot being so small. With the shadows it looks like it could be flowing.

You're welcome to those 6 inches of snow, Chuck, but it looks like you took good advantage of it. Wally is right...if you stare at the image for a while, it does look like there are small drifts. Nice one and I like the blue tone to the image.

I am always awe struck by shadows in the winter, they are beautiful! I think you did a nice job with this image!

Effective use of isolating a single element within the frame. Very nice abstraction, yet easily recognizable. You're rather daring with your use of small apertures, though I suppose that's highly dependent on print size. Solid image Chuck.

Nice abstract, Chuck. I particularly like the inclusion of the well-defined sharp shadow-diagonal near the center of the frame.

I agree with the above. love the colors and patterns you've isolated here. Well seen!
