Barn Door Barn Owl
Taken fromt he car on a bean bag.
Used the D2X's to give me a bit extra in terms of reach.

A great shot, pity he isn’t looking to the left, and not out of the frame. But you take what you are given.

This works for me Major, the bird looking out of the frame implies a big world outside of the confines of the barn, a tricky exposure well handled too; that must be a big bean bag if your car fits on it!

I like this and can honestly say that I am very jealous... a classic image of a Barn Owl.

Very nice indeed Major, though I agree with Ray in that it would have been better if the bird had looked into the frame.

I love the composition - a scene I've sadly never witnessed.

Excellent image! Fantastic composition. The bird looking out of the frame is what makes this image for me, sometimes breaking the 'rules' works, and this certainly works!!
