For me the background birds spoil an otherwise excellent shot. For lowish viewpoints, I really think you need a clean/unobtrusive, or relatively so, background.
The nearest bird is really excellent.

really like this, the birds in the background make this for me, the poses are just wonderful
An interesting image... they all seem to be looking on thinking 'what's he got?'.... the only distracting part of the bg birds for me is the motion blurred one on the left (as you look at it).... would like to see this on a pebble beach though....
Interesting and well captured Marek but a little bit too 'busy' for my personal taste.

I like this Marek. A really different approach to a fairly common bird. The birds in the background make it for me & tell a story. Well done for coming up with something different to the norm.

I know the bg is busy, but I think this shot has a lot going for it. Not a classic studio -style shot, but wildlife in action. All those Oof birds are focussed on what the guy at the front has found and that brings life to the image.
Actually it looks like a local paper shot of turnstones playing football. Whoops - letting my imagination run away with me there, but it is what makes this shot interesting to me. Eric

Yes, it's different and that's good. It tells a story and begs for a caption.
"Turnstone football" Certainly a break from the norm

I think this is great! It really draws you in and is very different to the norm! My only nit is the movement in the left hand bird. I love the way all the birds are so focused on the main bird, it tells a great story.
I love the spectator aspect of the birds in the background. The left hand bird just takes the edge off it for me. Having said that you're to be applauded for a different approach.

I really like this - all the 'onlookers' make the shot!
