Hi,

Another from what is now a timber yard on the Kent coast, a Sanderling tucking into a crab lunch, I know some will dislike the forground

All the best

I do normally like a diffused foreground Phil but on this one I would preferred to have seen the lunch more. Other than that it's a great image. Absolutely pin sharp where it needs to be and nice catchlight in the eye.

Very nice Phil. I like the nice simple background and the bird and lunch are spot on. Foreground ok for me.

The foreground is just a tad too much for me Phil but otherwise a great shot!

Great shot, Phil, I really like the pose; the 'action'. I'd be tempted to crop out the dry seaweed on the right.

I hadn't even thought about the foreground til I read your comment. It's maybe a little prominent but the rest of the shot draws the eye away from it.

Captured the action of the bird and that sand looks like something to die for.
Think I would just take a bit of the FG so as to make it less overpowering. :toast:

Looks good to me Phil, super detail. Think I would crop a tad off the bottom to put more emphasis on the bird and not the f/g.

Hope they soon clear up those matchsticks

Very nice! Well captured. Perhaps a little less of the foreground, but it gives great depth to the image.

nice one Phil, excellent shot shame the tips of the crabs legs are not visible.

I assume it’s a ridge of sand in the foreground which is masking the crab, which is a great pity. If this is indeed the case, then a tad higher would have brought the whole of the crab into play, as is, I don’t think the foreground adds anything to the shot, quite the contrary, I would mask most of it out. I think you know what I think of the B.G. and L.H. side.

The Sanderling itself, is an absolute stunner. Great capture.
