Here's an image of Mount Baker, viewed from Mount Constitution after I packed up the 4x5... :)

What a lovely scene! It's such a great feeling being up in the mountains watching the sunrise/set on top of the clouds. I would have liked to see a little less forground clouds and more mountains/sky. Maybe even lighten it up a bit?

I agree with allowing more room at the top. I would also suggest lightening the clouds a bit and boosting the contrast. Well worth the trek up Constitution.

This isn't cropped, so I'll have to go back to get more sky in the shot. With any luck, I'll manage to be there with a more dramatic sky at some point. That afternoon the sky was very clear, so the view was outstanding, but the sky was pretty flat.
I'll experiment with adjustments, and see what I can do about lightening it. I also have some shots from before the shadow crept over the clouds, so they're much better lit... but those are on Velvia that I haven't gotten to a lab yet.
Thanks for the comments!

I too like to crop a lot when I have a plain sky, but I agree this one is too tight for my tastes; it really crowds the mountain. I'll also echo the comment on contrast. With those points noted, there's a lot I like here. With the contrast adjustment, the light on the mountain should look very nice, and I like the way the fog lays in the valley and creates nice lines with the hill in the foreground. This should also make a nice panorama crop format, concentrating on the hill and mountain with less clouds in the foreground.

Coming in late here, I would have to agree with all that's been written so far. As John wrote, this is a pleasing image, with just a few problems.

This is definitely better feedback than "great shot!" :)
I didn't get to this image last night... I was too busy getting caught up on stuff from other shoots :)
Mmmm! What a lovely color pallette here that could definitely be brought out more. I see the slightest hint of pink in the fog closest to the mountaina, e.g. As to the top, no need to reshoot; extend the canvas on the top and paint in some more sky. Should be easy enough as the sky is not complicated with clouds and such. Gees, there's lovely blues and purples, too. I think with the suggestions given, this will really sing without having to look garish. Wonderful sight.

pretty hazy and dark, the mountain is too close to the top for framing......otherwise a nice image........I do like the layers!!!

I like the concept but would also like to see more sky and less clouds. For me the amount of foreground clouds weakens the overall appeal of this image. If possible I would also try to pull a little more out of the light reflecting off Baker.

I'd like more space up top. The mountains seem like an afterthought to the clouds. Otherwise the colors and exposure look great.

I agree with what others have mentioned, the summit of Baker almost seems to be bumping up against the top of the frame. Also, a bit more contrast and sharpness would make an improvement.
