I was in downtown Denver today and had a few spare minutes to drop by the Camera Obscura Gallery.
I was blown away by their current show!!
Scott Peck is, a Denver photographer specializing in studio/still life.
Not only is his work outstanding, it is worth the trip just to see his presentation. There are 3 Lightjet images printed on Fuji Super Gloss, and they are face mounted on museum grade acrylic . Talk about vibrant color!!! I suppose if you have to ask how much this mounting costs, you can't afford it. I wonder how many prints they trash to get one without imperfections.
Here's a link to the current show which will end March 1
CAUTION - the best print looks the worst on the web. http://www.cameraobscuragallery.com/
Bill, I'm glad you got to see this show, and point it out here. I've known Scott for years, and his images, and especially his prints still blow me away! You really do have to see them in person. He loves the nature photography too. And if you saw his awesome 4wd rig, a few of you might be a bit jealous. :)
Hopefully I can get over to see the show next week.

But I'll bet he doesn't backpack with Frankie
No bet Todd, but I'm sure Jack Brauer would love to run it up Mt Sneffels on a winter ascent.
Am I the only one not to make the immediate connection: "Frankie" = Frankenstein ?

Here's "Frankie", Scott's most recent digital acquisition tool.

The Camera Obscura gallery is located at 1309 Bannock, next to the Denver Art Museum.
If you're paying someone to do this - no prints.
Thanks for the heads-up.
