I was in Breckenrige, Colorado this past week during the International Ice Sculpture Festival and I found this "Ice Goddess."
I tried to get out one day after skiing and take a few photos but the winds were howling at about 50 miles per hour and I felt like Heraldo Rivara reporting from the Gulf Coast during a Hurricane. I could barely stand up and my camera was vibrating on the tripod from the winds and the actual temperature was 1 degree! No telling what the wind chill was. I gave up and went back inside. Oh, well maybe next time!

Dang, Tom, I thought it was cold here...that's some bitter cold for sure!
Just out of curiosity, is this full frame or cropped? Great sculpture - too bad it has to melt/evaporate, or should I say sublimate...

I don't recall ever seeing an ice sculpture in person but I've seen several photos. One thing is for sure, the artist's who create these are quite talented. I wonder if it's tough for them to watch their creations melt into a memory.
