1D2n, 600mm f4 is x1.4, 1/50s, f5.6, iso 400.
I'm posting this because my wife likes it! I think she just saw the colour from the other side of the room, but I often think that non-photographers have different tastes from photographers. I found a new spot and arrived before sunrise. The colour in the sky was outrageous. I heard these before I saw them and rattled off several shots both into the east (pink) and west (purple). Most are very blurry giving only abstract images. I can't make up my mind. What do you think?

This is a fine looking image Ian. Your wife is right about the colour, it looks great with the tree silhouettes & the geese stand out just enough

Looks ok to me Ian.
It shows just what it is, which to me is fine.

If your wife likes it Ian then its a no brainer, and wo betide anybody who says it isn't
Not a big favourite of this type of crop if only because I wouldnt know what to do with it.
I like this image perticularly the colouration portraying dusk.
Firstly don’t let your wife read this, I want to see another sun rise, and I know what I’m talking about, my sentence is 38 years this year. When Oh, when, will I be let out for good behaviour.
Sorry, but this doesn’t quite come off for me. It’s too concentrated to my eye, I think just some plain purple sky above, would make all the difference.
Still a very interesting shot, well seen and taken.

Love the colours Ian, and well done for being there at that hour - it can't have been very warm!
I like these kind of shots but do know where Ray is coming from about some plain space. My only nits in general about this style are "halved" birds on the edges that I'd personally clone out and flying space for the birds at the front, but I can see how leaving space on one side may unbalance things
