This scene in Y Valley gave me a strong sense of scale and height. The foreground trees are not small. I felt insignificant.

Cool shot Jefferey,
I really like the sunlight hitting the ground and trees which contrast well with the darker sky. The scale really showcases the majesty of the valley from the floor.

Jeffrey,
What beautiful lighting and this most certainly provides a strong sense of scale. Yet another fabulous image from that glorious Christmas storm. I'm still bummed about it... :-) But kuddos to you for being there to capture this beauty.

The composition works very nice and a bit different even for a Valley shot. But, the lighting is what really makes the scene here IMO. The combination of excellent light along with the resulting snow pack all the granite seems to provide a wonderful etching look to the scene.

Very beautiful Jeffrey! The sunlight hitting the trees creates quite a contrast between the stormy looking upper parts of the image.

I really love the scale in the image, and the light ain't bad either well done
