A beautiful red head.
Another from my walk yesterday. It was hard in the strong easterly to get decent shots, the grouse where keeping their heads down and i wouldnt see them till they exploded from my feet. This is one disturbed by a walker which landed near me while i was having a drink of water.

D2X 500mm f4.5+TC and ISO200 1/160s

Rather tight at the top, but easily fixed, an excellent close up. Nice one.

Ray, this is a 4/3 from a 3/2 so i have a little more room at the top if i want.

Nice crisp detail Paul. Whereabouts in the world are these from?
