Making the pick of the week is definitely NOT getting easier for me! During this past week a number of photographers really came to the plate with amazing images - I could list at least 10 that could have taken the title. And, each of the the three images that made my short list were nothing short of spectacular.

Marsel van Oosten's "Leopard Jr." was just another typical Marsel van Oosten image. In other words - absolutely gorgeous! The image was shot at sunrise and the colours and the warmth of the image (both literally and figuratively) are simply unmatched.

Ian Plant posted an image simply titled "Wild Pony". It's one of those images where its simple beauty belies the technical mastery that underlies it. I just love this image.

Finally, Vincent Grafhorst decided to go a little against the grain with his memorable image of a steenbok that he posted with the unassuming title "Minimalism". It's an exceptionally simple image, and very different than we normally see in the Fauna Gallery. Scanning the comments about this image is extremely interesting - while virtually everyone loves it, everyone seems to want to put that steenbok in a slightly different place!

Without further ado - the Pick of the Week goes to...Vincent Grafhorst!

Thanks to everyone who posted images in the Fauna Gallery!
