One of the very few occasions where a Partridge has posed for me rather than scuttling off into the undergrowth. I think it was enjoying the warm sun while it lasted

What a beauty! Complementary background colours. Nice touch of snow too.

Very nice - colours, light, comp, all the boxes ticked and that snow's a bonus.

Great shot.
Nice colorful bird. The partridges overhere are mostly brown.

Hi Simon
A very nice portrait in wonderful light, makes the snowy frost look out of place.

Very nice portrait of this Frenchy Simon, the frost covered wall adds to the image too.

Really nice shot of a very shy bird (for me anyway). Sorry to say this minor thing and I appreciate the difficulty of shooting angle, personally I find the bolder in the FG just a little to big so a bit distracting - not a major just a little. If perhaps just the top was taken off it would be there for me.

Great portrait. As Drew says its a shame about the rock bottom left, but still a very nice shot.

An exceptionally fine shot, faultless in all departments. Just superb.
