Snow bittern
Had a day off today for the second day running so headed off to lee valley park for the 4th day running to get some snowy woodland bird shots, thought i'd stop off at the watchpoint on the way, i had it in the back of my mind that if the bittern was showing i could get it in snow and sure enough it was there meandering it's way through one of the beds at bittern speed, came out in the open a few times before i remembered my original purpose

He looks bemused with the white stuff! Nice one!

I agree with Ian he does look confused, I bet the snow made hunting difficult the day I was there they were catching small fish all the time. It looks like you had better light, this also looks like the lighter one there is another that looks a bit darker.

Nice one :toast:

An excellent showing the Bittern superbly in its winter habitat. Well seen and executed.

Very nice showing the habitat well, plus the reeds are not cut....
