Andrey,
What you might do is go to Getty, Corbis or search for a stock agency site. You might have to register as a "buyer," but you can go thru the motions of ordering an image and that should give you an idea.
I'm on a site called Myloupe.com, and for your description and some assumptions on my part, (1/4 page image, 5,000copies, 3yr term, United states only) the price would be about $140 per image. Of course, full page or double page spread should get more, and smaller, inset images less.
Whatever you do, don't sell youself short. If it's a small operation and this is your first chance on getting published, you might work a deal, but don't give it away. You will also need to have a contract and specifiy the exact image use so they can't turn around and use it somewhere else.
Hope this helps.

I'd second Troup's recommendation for Fotoquote. It can pay for itself with one sale and it's much, much more than just a pricing guide. There are "coach" sections that guide you through negotiations, what questions to ask, and more. Well worth the $$.

Dear Troup, Lon and Rod,
Thank you very much for the insightful advices. I guess will use Lon's advice for now and order Fotoquote in the coming month.
Best regards,
Andrey
Discussion
4 repliesRecently, I was contacted with the request to give the permission of publishing four of my images in a book (5,000 copies, $35 per book).
I have some experience with publishing in magazines. However, this one is different.
Do you have some simple advices for me?
Thank you for your time.
Andrey
