I know some may be sick of seeing ice, for that I apologies. I hope things can get back to normal as soon as possible for those affected by the ravaging of the recent storms.
Thought I would share a more mellow view of winters icy effects.
Taken along a well visited creek on one of my many morning walks along the banks.
I shot this a f/32 which I almost Never do. It was an attempt to bring into focus the rock bottom of the creek through the water which at this point was only a few inches deep. It didn't succeed in that but may have helped in bringing out the color of the the rocky bottom below the ice.

I love the colors that you were able to bring out. I love using higher F Stops. Sometimes the colors you get were unexpected. It always amazes me when you get in close like that and see what others may be missing. The ice storm was tragic for most, but sure did provide for great photo ops.

I like both halves of this image Brad. Your comp pulls the pieces together nicely. Pretty good control of the whites too.

Well done Brad. An unusual photo, kind of modern art. And I like it.

Makes me cold just to look at it. I think the darker background is a good offset to the ice.
I love abstract ice shots, and this one is a real keeper. Great detail and I don't think an in focus BG would improve it. The color and tone back there is more important than the texture to me. Excellent composition.

Lots of detail in the ice to ponder, and your exposure is perfect. Nice work Brad.
