I can see why you composed it as you did, but it has resulted for me, with the bird being a tad high in the frame. I think a vertical would work really well here, as well.

There looks like a few snowflakes. which I would consider cloning to match the B.G.

Fancy painting in a catch light.

On balance a very nice portrait of a male Great Tit, looks like he could be the dominant bird in the breeding season.

I came back to this a couple of times. I wasn't sure about the berries at first, but I think they make for a very nice image. I wonder if it might be worth trying to get a little more light out of the eye ?

Nice bird, nice perch with berries. Not so sure about the background. I see what Ray means about the snowflakes. Ideally, there would be many more, but since there aren't, I find it overall a bit bright/stark. Maybe if you darkened the background mid tones, more flakes would show through? Don't know!

I like this. A pleasant change from the more usual great tit shots. Ifind the snowflake close the the bird a distraction but otherwise very nice.

Nice, I quite like this, it's quite artistic. I like the perch, and do agree that the bird is a little high in the frame. The snowflake nearest the bird is a bit distracting as mentioned as at first glance it looks like a dust bunny! The yellow really stands out against the rest of the image. The sharpness of the bird is great, and I can see a bit of a catchlight in the eye, perhaps it needs a little lift there?

Nice! :toast:

This works for me Jack. Good to see a different background every now and again. Agree about the flake next to the bird

nits mentioned Jack but it's a nice capture nonetheless.. A little more levels/shadows/highlights will help bring out some more detail in those areas..
