Another moonlit ending!
I was admiring Jon's "Moonlit Ending" post, and it inspired me to upload my own end-of-day photo for critique...even though I haven't yet introduced myself on this forum (just lurking).

The "cloud-light" show was spectacular...this evening was the first time I've really tried to capture it, and it was perhaps only with very modest success.

I was using a D80, 200mm focal length, tripod, and tripping the shutter wirelessly; VR off, various shutter speeds testing with different "under-exposure" values. The clouds were moving at times faster than the shutter speed, fortunately the moon, not! :-).

Nice post Linnet. I took some shots of a moonbow I witnessed last month but they didn't turn out as nicely as this one. I know what you mean about the fast-moving clouds. Your shutter speed on this is perfect. Welcome to the forum (as a lurker no more).

Very nice, I noticed the moon shining through the clouds last night--looked very cool. Good job catching this.

Welcome, Linnet.
I think the blurring from cloud movement enhances the image. The colors are great. Well done.
I'd probably crop it a bit tighter, but that is a very subjective call.

I like the black surrounding the moon. Really brings it out.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments. I took a "number" of shots on this evening and a couple subsequent evenings--really my first experiments with trying to get moon and cloud-light together. Not sure when I'll get time to work them over, but, ...to be continued...
