Tawny Owl (c) tested with D3X
This afternoon, me & Hollow the Tawny Owl went out in the fields to test out a Nikon D3X that is on loan. The results in detail are outstanding compared to the D2X I normally use.

Reducing for web doesn't really show off the amount of detail this camera is capable of capturing.

Tomorrow I hope to have a session with flight shots.

I only have the camera for a week so I will no doubt see what it's capable of.

Thanks for looking :toast:

An excellent portrait, my only thought would be that a narrow border might help in framing the image. Well visualised and taken. Nice one.

P.S. When are you buying one ???

Nice picture.
The only thing I would try next time is to get a little higher PoV to get a little more coler next to the white of the owl.
Have fun with this excellent camera.

Looks good Vince, beautiful owl, I hadn't realized just how pale the breast feathers were on a Tawny, top shot.

Very nice, great detail, great shot. I like the way the perch is a similar colour to the owl!
