Taken last summer on a trip to Mt. Evans.
This one may be too dark for this posting.
I used Photomatix Pro3 for the conversion.
Thanks,
Dave

The conversion looks quite successful, good tonalities everywhere without obvious clues as to its HDR origin. The stream rocks may appear to be too dark but I've seen in stream rocks that can get almost black with organic residue, and since I've never seen this particular spot before, I can easily assume that to be the case here and thus accept it as looking the way it is supposed to look.

VERY well done Dave. I like your restraint.

I do not think it looks too dark, it looks fairly natural with about the right amount of shadows for this type of scene imo. This is a very nice image David!.

Definitely not too dark--good job, Dave!

I agree with everything Don said. This is a really magical scene, and the type of scene for which I need to remember that I have HDR in the toolbox back at home.
This kind of hdr makes me want to give a try. Good job.

Great image especially for the difficult lighting. A couple of the twigs on the middle rock look incomplete or suspended. (Probably an old guys failing eye. )

You really tamed the extreme contrast that would otherwise have resulted in a spoiled image.
This is anything but that. Great job!

VERY well done! Looks realistic, and HDR is the only way to make it so. Magical image!

This is a very tastefully done HDR and a lovely shot. My only critique is that the bright spots (while not blown or anything) immediately catch your eye and compete for attention with the main subject (the waterfall). I must admit that it's a shot that I probably wouldn't have attempted due to the extreme contrast. Next time I'll think twice before doing so!
Very nice! I too think it looks quite natural and beautiful. There are a couple spots toward the bottom of the fall (either side of the stick) that have a funny, yellowish look on my screen. But that's a very minor point. The way you've captured the glow here makes it look like it's all reflected light. Beautiful, warm, inviting forest scene!

Nice job. Feels like I am at the edge of the stream. Wonder what it would look like with BW conversion.

I agree with Guy about the bright spots competing with the falls, but otherwise this is a really well done HDR image.

Very nice! Really love the detail.

Dave, that is exceptional! Would you be willing to reveal the location? I'm guessing it is near where trail 52 crosses the creek.
