The 5th day I've been trying to catch the Buzzard on a bait. No luck so far but my time will come. To make the waiting less boring I have made a small feeding place to the right of me. If the buzzard shows up all I have to do is turn the lens to the left about 1 foot. Because I stay in the hide as long as six hours this is great fun to do.

Excellent! Great background and lovely detail on the bird. I like the oof focus branch, it gives depth to the image. Lovely composition too!
Hope you get your buzzard, I'm sure you will soon!!
Oh, what a pity about the vegetation in the foreground, as this would be a real winner.
A first rate “alternative” shot, for want of a phrase, and apart from the foreground vegetation, I can find nothing to fault. Well thought out and taken, a great foundation to work from.
You know, I know quite a few photographers who take a good book into hides with them, much prefer your way of passing the time. I’m sure you’ll get your Buzzard

I would settle for this as an alternative! Never seen one.

Because of the size of the bird for me it outways the OOF vegetaion.
Striking birds and a great alternative to a Buzzard.
I too would rather have this than a buzzard. Great sharpness and I like the foliage, but the bit cutting it does spoil it for me. I think I would also try darkening the whole image a little bit.

This works for me, the oof branches at the bottom of the image help balance the one out by the bird, nice comp too... 1 Foot is a lot of movement to a razor eyed Buzzard......

I rather like this one, I just moved away from the desk about ten feet and its even better from a distance.
Perfect habitat for this stunning bird... but for me the OOF vegitation across the front doesn't work, I'm sure you will get many more images and I'm sure you will get your Buzzard in the end and looking forward to seeing your results.... I hope they push the boundaries as some of your recent images have been doing.
