Went up to Cades Cove on Weds.I-40 was a disaster. Traveled only 10 miles in 2 hrs near Maggie Valley where tractor trailers were jack knifing. So a 3 hr trip took over 5 hrs. You should have seen how many vehicles pulled over at the first rest area after the traffic jam broke up. Thursday morning was a crisp 8 degrees and the gate didn't open until 10. It's surprising how many people still showed up on a weekday and the park was gorgeous.

Dang, Leann! I was in the Smokies that day too, but I didn't make it to Cades Cove. Wish I'd known you were there!
I like the way the deer seem to be having a pow-wow.

I did ice in Tremont on Thursday. My B&W abstract study attached. I did one in color too, but won't get it back until later today (Monday); high near 72 degrees today. Tennessee Valley weather. Sheesh.
I have this urge to want to move more to my right, to align the deer with the mountains on the left. Did you get any horizontal versions that create more space on either sides? The puddle in the foreground doesn't do too much for me.
The mountains and ice and the deer interaction are all wonderful!

Thanks everyone.
Lori-I thought you for sure would be snowed in with the amount of snow dumped on your home area!
Steve- We were planning to shoot more areas but had so many animals out that we couldn't leave the cove.
Richard-nooo darn it I didn't. I was focused on momma and fuzzy nuzzling and then included the bg maybe with not enough thought. I appreciate the input very much.

Both are beautiful, and what makes it even better is that they're so different.
This is a perfect example of an artist having multiple styles.
For Richard's suggestion, just use the PS plug-in to pan to the right...I wish.
