A preference for Hawthorne
Taken this morning. Have noticed this bird preferring to land and survey from small Hawthorne bushes rather than all the posts provided.

D2x's + 600mm AFS II + 1.4 conv.
Car used as mobile hide.

Major.

Nice one Major,

The dark BKGR really sets this bird off and there is great detail in the owls plumage. I might be tempted to take some off the bottom, ( below the branch ) and then a bit off the right to balance it back up again.

An excellent portrait, perhaps a tad high in the frame but easily fixed. Nice one.

I do like this Major :toast:

Slight sharpening artefact on the near edge of the facial disc.

Superb BG and I like the position of that right foot - nice one Major :wavey:

If only I could have got a shot like this over the weekend, only had 5 chances of owl shots, I'm in two minds whether to post it or not as yet.

Nice one Major !!!

Beautiful Major - really nice to see it on something other than a post.
