1D Mk III, 300mm f/2.8 + 2x TC, ISO:100, Handheld 1/400 @ f/9

After a long hunt searching field margins and hedgerows I finally managed to get close to a pair of Grey Partridges and grab a few shots before a Peregrine flew over and scared them away.

All comments and critique most welcome.

Many thanks

Very good capture of a very difficult species to photograph, top shot IMO.

This is excellent, Grey Partridges look so good in a wintry scene, it's a shot I spent some time trying to find yesterday, to no avail; got a super Muntjac instead!

Very nice , I only ever see the rear end of these as they fly off.

There is a slight halo going down each edge of the birds, no biggie tho.

A great looking image with very nice eye contact :toast: :toast:

Edges of the birds look a tad too pronounced to my eye. Still an excellent capture. Well seen and taken.

Thanks for the comments everyone

Ray, noted - I think I slightly overdid the sharpening after resizing this one.

Cheers,
Simon
